Size Guide / Fit & Care
Choosing the right leather accessory is easier when the dimensions are clear. Use this guide to compare sizes, understand how each product is measured, and keep your DIMITRI piece looking refined for daily use.
If a product page lists exact measurements, always check them before ordering. Product photos can help with style and proportions, but the listed dimensions are the safest reference for fit and daily use.
How we measure bags
Bag measurements are usually listed in three parts:
- Width: measured across the front of the bag from side to side.
- Height: measured from the base to the highest point of the main body.
- Depth: measured from the front to the back at the widest practical point.
For backpacks, duffels, briefcases, and handbags, check all three measurements. A bag may look compact from the front but have more depth, or it may look tall while still being slim from the side.
For straps and handles, check the product page when this information is available. Strap drop and adjustable strap length can change how the bag sits on the shoulder, across the body, or in the hand.
Centimeters and inches
DIMITRI customers may compare products in either centimeters or inches. When both are shown, use the unit you know best.
Quick conversion:
| Centimeters | Inches |
|---|---|
| 10 cm | 3.9 in |
| 15 cm | 5.9 in |
| 20 cm | 7.9 in |
| 25 cm | 9.8 in |
| 30 cm | 11.8 in |
| 35 cm | 13.8 in |
| 40 cm | 15.7 in |
| 45 cm | 17.7 in |
| 50 cm | 19.7 in |
Formula: 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Small rounding differences are normal.
What can fit inside?
Capacity depends on the exact product dimensions and internal layout. Use the guide below as a general reference only, then check the product page for the specific item.
| Accessory type | Best for | Check before ordering |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet or card holder | Cards, folded bills, ID, small flat essentials | Number of card slots, zip closure, coin pocket, and overall thickness |
| Slim handbag or small shoulder bag | Phone, card holder, keys, sunglasses case, small personal items | Width and depth, especially if you carry a larger phone or case |
| Business bag or briefcase | Daily work items, documents, charger, wallet, phone | Whether the listed width/height suits your laptop or tablet size |
| Backpack | Commute, daily essentials, compact umbrella, bottle, notebook | Height, depth, strap style, and whether the product page confirms laptop/tablet space |
| Duffel or travel bag | Short trips, clothing, dopp kit, accessories | Overall volume, opening style, handles, and strap options |
Do not assume a laptop, tablet, bottle, or umbrella will fit unless the product page confirms the relevant dimensions. When in doubt, measure the item you want to carry and compare it with the bag dimensions.
How to compare with something you already own
- Choose a bag or wallet you already use.
- Measure its width, height, and depth.
- Compare those numbers with the DIMITRI product page.
- If you carry a specific item every day, measure that item too.
- Allow a little extra room for closures, seams, padding, and internal compartments.
A structured leather accessory may not stretch like fabric. If your item is close to the listed measurement, choose carefully or contact support before placing the order.
Natural leather and material variation
Leather and leather-finished materials can show natural variation in tone, grain, texture, and finish. This is part of the character of the material and may make each piece look slightly different from the photos.
Color can also appear different depending on screen settings, lighting, and photography. Product images are a style reference; the written color, material, and dimensions on the product page should guide the final decision.
Fit notes by product type
Wallets
Wallet fit is about pocket comfort and organization. Slim wallets and card holders are designed for fewer essentials. Zip-around or snap wallets may feel more secure but can be thicker when full.
Before ordering, check the number of compartments, closure type, and whether you prefer front-pocket or back-pocket carry.
Shoulder bags and handbags
For shoulder bags and handbags, compare width and depth with the items you carry most often. If you use a larger phone, sunglasses case, or compact umbrella, measure those items first.
If strap length is important to you, check whether the product page lists strap drop or adjustable strap information. If it is not listed, contact support before ordering.
Briefcases and business bags
For work bags, do not rely on the product name alone. Compare your laptop or tablet dimensions with the internal or external measurements shown on the product page.
If laptop compatibility is not stated, treat the bag as suitable for documents and daily essentials only until support confirms the fit.
Backpacks and duffels
Backpacks and duffels should be checked for overall size, depth, opening style, and carry method. A bag can be roomy but still not suit a laptop, shoes, or a specific travel item if the opening or internal layout is not right.
Measure first if you are buying for a specific use.
Leather care
Use simple care habits to help preserve the look of your accessory:
- Keep the item away from prolonged direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.
- Avoid contact with water, oil, perfume, alcohol, and harsh cleaning products.
- If the surface gets lightly wet, blot gently with a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub aggressively.
- Store the item in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid overfilling bags and wallets, as this can strain seams, closures, and shape.
- For deeper cleaning, use products made for the material listed on the product page. Test carefully on a discreet area first.
Leather and leather-finished materials develop wear with use. Gentle handling helps maintain the shape, surface, and finish for longer.
Exchanges and returns
If the size or fit is not right, contact support as soon as possible and follow the store’s current return and exchange policy. Eligibility may depend on the product condition, order details, and the policy in effect at the time of your request.
To make the process easier, keep the item unused, with its packaging and accessories whenever possible, until support confirms the next steps.
This guide does not replace the official return, refund, or shipping policies shown on the store. The policy pages should always be the final reference.
